Honoring our Veterans: Thank you to the Greers
This year, we are honored to be participate in a program facilitated by the Military Survivor organization. They put us in touch with a Gold Star family to donate our training services. Gold Star families are those who have lost a loved one while serving our country. We graciously accepted the ability to sponsor this program and are proud to continue to give 15% off our services for those who serve.
We were able to sit down with Stephanie and hear more about her heroic husband Daniel and their life with their pup Finn. We are so grateful to have met this wonderful family!
Please tell us about your heroic husband.
My husband Daniel was an amazing man. He loves his family immensely. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, and friend. He loved dogs. He loved to go hunt anything. He loved to serve his country by being United States Marine, and also his community as an Ashland City Firefighter. He loved to serve and help others. He was saved in Afghanistan seven weeks before he was killed so I know that we will see him again one day. Knowing that gives me peace, but it stills hurts. We still talk about Daniel all the time and definitely keep his memory alive.
Tell us about your dog Finn. What is your family's favorite thing about your new furry companion?
Finn is such a sweet dog. He loves to run and play all the time. He is so smart! Our favorite thing is the love Finn gives us.
If your dog could speak, what do you think his most-said phrase would be?
If he could speak he would say “I really love treats.” Haha!
What three words best describe your pup?
Playful, loving, and energetic.
How has your dog changed since visiting Cedar Valley Canine?
Our life has changed so much since Finn has been at Cedar Valley Canine! Finn is so good now. He loves to please us by listening and minding. He really wants to be good and mind. He loves getting treats when he does his commands. I know I have control over my pup, and life is so much easier because of Cedar Valley Canine! My life has been thrown upside down in the last few months and Dave and Betsy rescued us! They are the kindest humans with big hearts, and I am so thankful to call them our friends!
