If 2020 was a dog of a year, then 2021 is the year of the dog!

In an uncertain year, one thing was and remains certain:

Dogs bring us comfort, companionship and joy.

They lower blood pressure and reduce stress. Not only does the simple act of petting a dog release serotonin and dopamine, but just staring into your dog’s eyes creates an increase in oxytocin - the “love hormone.”

No social life? No problem. Your pup can provide motivation to exercise and meet others. Family stressed over work, school and friends? Dogs have that covered as well. There is always a listening ear and a loving gaze from our four legged friends.

Shelters emptied as people realized that staying home gave them the time to devote to a pet. It’s not all fun and games though. Owning a dog is a big commitment of time, money and energy, and at CVC we believe that training your dog is an important part of that responsibility.

A well behaved dog is a happier dog because there is no confusion about what is expected of them. Training teaches them the life skills they need in order to live peacefully in your home among your family and other pets. It also provides mental stimulation and exercise and creates further bonding through clear communication as you both work together towards a common goal.

We offer a multitude of options for training your dog including scent detection, trick training and protection work. Call us and make your life (and your dog’s) better today!
